We host the event “Stormy Weather”, which is an exchange for blues dancers in the city of Bremen in March 2020.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
For our registration and the newsletter to ensure the quality of our workshops we use Google Form, in their GDPR compliant professional version „G Suite“. All data collected in Google Forms will be stored securely in Google Drive Cloud storage. Also all collected data you provide us additionally via other forms or means of communication might be stored there. We decided to store – also additional data collected via messenger, email or other communication channels – on Google Drive in order to cooperate on the organization of our event. We only store data which is necessary to plan, organize, execute, evaluate and account our events/workshops and can provide a best possible experience for participants, teachers, bands, DJ’s and all other people involved. All private data will be accessed by our teams of organizers. Some data, such as names for people that want to host other people and people that get hosted, may be available on site for the hosted people to find their hosts.

Google provides capabilities and contractual commitments for their customers designed specifically to help address EU data protection requirements and the guidance provided by the Article 29 Working Party. G Suite offers EU Model Contract Clauses and a Data Processing Amendment, which imin have accepted on 17 October 2017. Additionally, G Suite has been assessed as appropriate for use with the UK government’s Cloud Security Principles „OFFICIAL (including OFFICIAL- SENSITIVE)“. Google also complies with ISO 27001, SOC 2 and SOC 3.

We run the newsletter software MailChimp (https://mailchimp.com) which guarantees to use your email address for the sole purpose of distributing the email newsletter.
They are hosted outside of the EU in the USA and their data processing is considered as safe as in the EU because they are certified by the Privacy Shield (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TO6hAAG&status=Active)
If you register with the newsletter you will receive a confirmation mail and once you have confirmed that, you are subscribed to the newsletter. You will then get updates for this event by this Email address and the supplied Email address is exclusively used for this purpose.
We may send you updates for the next version of the event if we decide to do another one after the first event or another related exchange, workshop or party. If you do not want to be notified any further just unsubscribe. If we decide to not run another exchange we will stop the newsletter and delete all Email addresses that are still registered.
If you just want updates for the current event (Stormy Weather) in March 2020 then you can send us an Email to not get updates or announcements for other events (or alternatively just unsubscribe after the event).
When you unsubscribe, your Email address will be removed from the newsletter and you will get no more updates.
Contact Email Address
The contact Email address (email@example.com) is provided for people to get into contact with the event organizers for anything related to the event. Complete mails or extracts may be shared between the organizers or forwarded to hosts or people that are hosted to coordinate the event and hosting. They are kept for organizational purposes up to a year after the event is over.
If you want your previous sent emails to be deleted, send an Email about that to us.
Event Participant Registration Form
The personal data that you have to enter for the embedded Google Forms registration form is used to coordinate the event as described in the previous G-Suite chapter.
We use Statify to count website views. The plugin does only record the referrer URL, the URL on the website that is navigated to, a timestamp and generates an ID that is not tracked to individual IP’s. Therefore it is anonymized and not linked to people or devices. It saves that data for up to a month after the event is over for statistically purposes.
Existence of automated decision-making
As a responsible organization, we do not use automatic decision-making or profiling.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
What rights you have over your data
If you registered for the event with our form, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
How we protect your data
Your connection to this website and all data that is entered in the Google Forms registration form is protected by SSL/TLS technology. You see that you are accessing the encrypted version of this website when there is a ‘https://’ or a lock icon in your browser’s address bar.
What data breach procedures we have in place
If a data breach occurs and is detected, we notify all registered users or subscribers of the newsletter of that breach by their supplied Email address.
